These classes do occasionally possess a mechanic or ability that can immediately resolve encounters, but those are rare exceptions. These classes tend to fall into two camps, specialists that do one thing very well and generalists that do a lot of things at an okay level. Any of these classes is capable of anything, but no single class can do everything. These classes tend to have as much raw power as S Tier classes but with a much smaller toolkit. If played well these classes can be game breaking and require a skilled DM to provide them with suitable challenges. At high levels, these classes can pretty literally change the world. They can regularly solve encounters with singular abilities and require little thought from the player. These classes are capable of doing more or less everything, often times better than other classes that specialize in one thing. The following is a tier list of Pathfinder’s forty-four main classes, with an in-depth look at the S and A Tiers of classes. With so many options it can be quite daunting to find a class that is both mechanically powerful and provides the kind of gameplay experience you are looking for. There are forty-four playable classes in the tabletop roleplaying game Pathfinder and this is before things like NPC classes, prestige classes, and archetypes are factored in. Super CompĪ mixture of high-performers from fuel-altered, dragsters and full-bodied vehicles, running to an 8.90 index. What really are Pathfinder's top-tier classes? No breakout, first over the finish line wins. Competition EliminatorĪ series of handicapped races designed to whittle down the vast amount of vehicles entering the class. Carry a 500ci nitro-burning motor and produce speeds of 300 mph and above. Similar to the top fuel funnies, these carry a replica body on a shorter chassis. Produce long, smoky burnouts and speeds of 220 mph and over. FIA Pro ModifiedĪlso known as 'Doorslammers,' these are full-bodied cars, usually American muscle cars, and use a nitro-injected motor. Capable of running at six seconds at speeds of around 200 mph, burning racing gasoline. Powered by a 500ci motor and resembling showroom cars, but with 'exotically modified' motors, heads, manifolds and chassis. So-called because the Americans said they looked 'funny' when they were first introduced. Capable of running 5.6 at 250 mph and over. These also burn methanol as fuel, but have a replica car body on a short wheelbase. Average speeds reach over 260 mph, and they can run the quarter mile in 5.4 seconds. Very similar in appearance to the top fuelers but methanol is burned instead of nitromethane. They can also set off car alarms in a 5-mile radius, and their fire-up fumes act as tear gas! FIA Top Methanol They are powered by a nitro-burning, supercharged V8 engine and are capable of running the quarter mile in 4 seconds at speeds of over 300 mph, thanks to their 7000–8000 bhp. The most identifiable of all the dragsters, the top fuelers are the quickest and have the fastest acceleration of all the racers in the world. Here's a breakdown of the major classes shown at drag racing events and how each class is defined: FIA Top Fuel 2005 European Top Fuel Champion Lex Joon.
